Zoya contest update!

Hey All!

I am so excited for all that have entered the Zoya contest so far!  (the post just before this one).  When I started the contest I was at 23 subscribers.  Now I'm at 85 and counting!  I've decided I am going to extend the end date from the 15th to the 21st.  This will give everyone a better chance at winning since people will have more time to enter, thus giving more time to get to 600 followers!  :)  I am so excited for you all!  Good luck everyone!  I will edit the previous post to include the new end date.  Remember, if you want to enter, leave a comment on the previous post! :-)  Have a shiny polished day!

Zoya Contest from Polished Passion!!

Hey Lovelies!

I think it's time for my first contest!  I love Zoya, and it's no secret!  I think you do too, or else you wouldn't be here!  So here's the deal!  My goal is to get 600 subscribers.  If you would like to participate, simply comment on this post saying, "Hi" or "I'm entering" or whatnot to let me know you are entering. YOU MUST BE A SUBSCRIBER TO WIN.  :-) Each person commenting will be numbered in numerical order of entry.  I will then use Research Randomizer to pick a number from 1-the highest number of commenter.  If I do get 600 subscribers, the winner will receive the NEW INTIMATE SPRING COLLECTION FROM ZOYA!!!!!!  ALL 6 COLORS!    If I get 1000 subscribers, I will send out a second Spring collection to a second winner!!  Sorry, I can only ship in the US.  The contest will go till January 15, 21, 2011. (I've extended the end date so the probability of reaching 600 followers is higher!) I will ship out the polish as soon as I get it in my hands!

Zoya Natalie #073

Zoya Natalie #073  From website: A unique warm, orangey, medium-toned clay brown in a glossy creme finish. A serene autumnal shade that looks great on warm-toned skin.

This is a very pretty creme brown.

Zoya Dulcinea #035

Zoya Dulcinea #035  from website:  Warm light nude beige with frosty coppery-pink shimmer. A fashion-forward nude for when you want a hint of shimmer.

This color is really pretty...in the bottle.  On my skintone, it doesn't work.  I'm sure it will look gorgeous on warmer, darker skin tones.  On me, it looks 1/2 a shade darker than my skin and is way too warm to look good on me.  It has a lovely hot pink shimmer to it.  When the light hits it, it makes me think that maybe I could wear this...but when the light isn't reflecting off the shimmer, it just doesn't look right on me.  This will be a shade I have to layer.  It dries just a little bit darker than it is in the bottle.  Maybe this will look better on my toes than my hands.

Zoya Tosca #009

Zoya Tosca #009  From website:  A light strawberry red kissed by sunny golden shimmer. Update your color wardrobe with this fresh take on red.

This color has a ton of gorgeous gold shimmer.  It has a very slight pink undertone.

Zoya Carmen #001

Zoya Carmen #001  From website:  Bright, clean medium true red in a glossy creme finish. You can't go wrong with this classic red.

This is a very pretty red.  It's bright, but balanced.  Not too blue, not to orange.

Zoya Intimate Collection

Many of you may know that Zoya is releasing a gorgeous spring collection available on the 15th of this month.  Unfortunately, I don't have the VIP status to swatch colors early.  lol  I do buy every collection as it comes out, so I will have it soon enough.

Here are some promo pics from Zoya's blog.

I'm extremely excited for these!  I most anticipate Jules!  :D

Zoya Burke #521

Zoya Burke #521  From site: "Soft, dusty light red mulberry with very subtle brick and mauve tones. An autumn berry for a soft classic look."

This was a hard color to capture, ironically enough.  I edit pics to try to resemble the actual color in real life.  I only have florescent lighting in my apartment, so adjusting the picture color is necessary.   The color on Zoya's website is a little too pink.  It's more warm than than in person.

Zoya Stacy #520

Zoya Stacy #520  From site: "Dark raspberry creme with purple and wine undertones. A lighter take on a vintage vampy shade."

This color is yummy!  I love it!  So dark, shiny, and purple!  Very cool toned.

Zoya Kelly #519

Zoya Kelly #519  From site:  "A rich gray shade with soft purple and blue undertones. An easy to wear alternative to black and a perfect NEW neutral."

This is a great gray shade.  Medium dark, and very shiny!

Zoya Jade #196

Zoya Jade #196  From Zoya's website:  "Bright red glitter in a translucent crimson red base. The traditional sexy red polish with a sparkling twist"

This color is very translucent in one coat, but two coats gives me great color coverage.  Because of the translucent/jelly consistency, it goes on a brighter shade.  The swatches below were done on a tip, so it actually goes on more like the bottle color.  This could easily be used over any other red to give little red glitter specks over the top!  :-)

Zoya Sarah #535

Zoya Sarah #535  From Zoya's site:  "Pearls of dark fuchsia, red-violet and ruby tones in a bright sparkle finish.  A very rich and different shade of cool red sparkle that will stand out in a crowd."

This color was hard to capture.  All the little specks of glitter and shimmer were throwing my macro feature on my camera off.  I tried to capture it the best I could.  I'm painting the color swatches on nail tips for now, so I can swatch without drying out my nails.

Zoya Kylie #219

Zoya Kylie #219  From website:  "Medium dusty pink with a touch of mauve and frosty silver shimmer. Soft and delicate but not faint, a baby pink for all skin tones."  Gorgeous color!  Goes well with my skin tone.  The silver shimmer really makes this color pop on my skin tone!
